Joey Chestnut Named Scallions Sportsman of the Decade

OK, I'll admit it. Giving Joey this award was a tough call. Selecting an athlete from outside of the world of smelly jocks & socks, and skanky groupies was risky for Scallions sports desk. Once again sports fans, Scallions has made the right call.

Most fantasy sports guys are not familiar with Joey, nor the world records he has set. He is a true competitor and a glutton for punishment. He's the epitome of a man's man who guts out competition after competition and never chokes in a key situation.

So congratulations to Joey "Jaws" Chestnut, winner of the world famous Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest for four consecutive years.

Joey "Jaws" Chestnut Started Feasting on the Competition in 2005

Currently ranked number one by the International Federation of Competitive Eating, Joey's career began by upsetting world renowed Rich LeFevre, downing 6.3 pounds of asparagus in 11.5 minutes in 2005. From there on in, it was kick gut for the "Jaws" with victory after victory through 2010 gorging himself on hamburgers, chicken wings, mac & cheese, pizza, and Japanese gyoza. Today, the eating icon of the world receives the ultimate prize --- Scallion's Sportsperson of the Decade.

Congrats to "Jaws". Fans worldwide salute you!!!!!!
